Congratulations to Tim Burke on his induction into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame

by Upper Hand in Player Development

I had the great fortune to meet Tim Burke when he joined the Princeton coaching staff in the Fall of 1984. Coach Burke spent the next three years helping me learn the game of hockey and was single-handedly responsible for me playing four years of college hockey.

No one has done more in their hockey careers to promote Massachusetts hockey than Tim Burke and no one has been a better ambassador for Massachusetts hockey on a global scale than Tim Burke. In his roles as Player (UNH All-American defenseman and AHL player), Coach (Princeton University, AHL head coach and NHL assistant coach), Scout and General Manager (NHL New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks), Coach Burke has quietly and without any fanfare provided opportunities to so many players without asking for anything in return.

Congratulations to Coach Burke it is a well-deserved and hard-earned recognition.
