Each ten-session program will feature our Core Power Skating Curriculum and increased time devoted to Stickhandling with Movement. Each 80-minute session will be comprised of 50 minutes of Power Skating and Edge Work and 30 minutes devoted to Stickhandling with a particular focus on Stickhandling with Movement.
The Core Curriculum teaches Inside Edge; Outside Edge; Single Leg Edge Work; Crossovers; Long Stride; Open Hip; Tight Turns and Backwards Skating.
The Stickhandling Curriculum will focus on blending the Power Skating and Edge Work with Offensive Tactics that will help your child have more success in games.
Our interpretation of Power Skating is to focus on the specific movements that allow players to be better hockey players and to build learning progressions around those movements.
