WARNING: If your child attends this program, they will improve their Skating and their Stickhandling! We TEACH and players LEARN!!

Driscoll Skating & Skills will be running a fifteen-week Power Skating and Edge Work Skills training program on Friday evenings from 7:00- 9:00 pm at the Allied Veterans Rink in Everett (65 Elm Street). There will be a multitude of pricing options designed to give players and families maximum flexibility. As a friendly reminder, Driscoll Skating & Skills is focused on long-term player development.

Each training session will be designed around a Power Skating and Edge hour (7-8 pm) and a Stickhandling hour (8-9 pm). Each two-hour session will be structured as a complementary training program for those players that attend for both sessions.

Our fifteen-week Skating and Edge Work curriculum will cover our core Power Skating program. There will be an emphasis on Power Skating and Edge Work designed to make your hockey player more effective in games. The program will teach Inside Edge; Outside Edge; Single Leg Edge Work; Crossovers; Long Stride; Backwards Skating; Open Hip; Tight Turns and Defensive Skating. The Stickhandling hour will introduce Stickhandling and Offensive Tactics that complement the Skating piece.

We will have a 6:1 player:coach ratio, we will have five experienced Power Skating coaches on the ice. We limit the program to 24 players.

Promotional Piece: The Everett Skills program will be our first in-season training program for players on the North Shore. The expectation is that players that participate in our program will demonstrate noticeable improvement in their Skating and Stickhandling. All of our training is delivered by experienced Power Skating coaches and our focus is on individual Skill work. We TEACH and players LEARN. Logistically, three training sessions per month over five months is an ideal complement to the team that your child is playing on. I will be teaching most if not all of the sessions and Joe Loprieno (Merrimack graduate and ex-American Hockey League Worcester Sharks) will be joining me. We will maintain a 6:1 player:coach ratio as always.
